While the Hygienic has long offered kids the chance to display their visual art talent, it’s expanding the showcase this year to also include poetry.

Young poets can recite their written work in front of an audience at the Hygienic XLIV Young Artists' & Poets Expo on Saturday afternoon at New London Public Library.

There will, of course, still be the work of young art students from around the region that will be on view. And the festivities will include music, arts and crafts, storytelling and goodie bags.
