    SECT Boys & Girls Club recruiting mentors

    The Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Connecticut received a $20,000 grant from Mystic Aquarium to implement a mentoring program and is now seeking teen and adult mentors who will be based at the Thames River Unit club in New London and the Claude Chester Extension club in Groton.

    The Department of Justice recently awarded Mystic Aquarium’s Sea Research Foundation a $3 million federal grant to develop and implement a science, technology, engineering, and math mentoring initiative for underserved youth at 56 Boys and Girls clubs across the country.
