H.S. football: Unbeaten Fitch blanks Bacon Academy 40-0

Groton — Shawn Beebe rushed for 180 yards on 13 carries and scored four touchdowns as Fitch remained unbeaten with a 40-0 high school football victory over Bacon Academy on Friday night.

The Falcons (3-0) scored all of their points in the first half.

Beebe scored on runs of 21, 49, 15 and 2 for Fitch, which scored its other TDs on a 38-yard touchdown pass from Ben Perry to Aiden Greaves and a 29-yard run by Melakai Maddox.

Charles Cabusao added four extra points.

Greaves had two catches for 95 yards, Maddox had five carries for 52 yards and Ethan Sisson and Tate Scherer recovered fumbles for the Falcons.

Bacon is 0-4.
