Collins' reporting on Port Authority merits Pulitzer Prize

One hopes that David Collins' investigative reporting of the Connecticut Port Authority will be rewarded with a Pulitzer Prize just as one hopes that the residents of New London will receive appropriate compensation.

The irregularities, illegalities, conflicts of interest, missing amenities, defiance of historic relevance and the neglect of smart urban planning protocols as exhibited in Mystic would also benefit from David's scrutiny. The chaos, unkindness, profanity, horn honking, flipping the bird and general disregard for civility as played out on Water Street and the village center during the early days of February vividly remind residents of the many lawless July weekends ahead.

    Thanks to The Day.
