Floating zones could pop up anywhere
Develop five corners responsibly. Recent changes made by the City of Groton have paved the way for developers to circumvent tradition zoning laws that you or I must follow. ("Residents at hearing raise concerns about scale of Five Corners development in Groton City," Dec. 22)
These "floating zones" can land anywhere in the city with total disregard to neighbors. Imagine a five-story building with no setbacks from your property, only to be lied to saying your property values will increase when this is built. Call the City of Groton Mayor and councilors and tell them to repeal this MUDD/TIFF floating zone, it will destroy your neighborhood.

Inflation and the blame game
The administration's encouragement of high inflation through profligate spending is a regressive tax on all Americans, but especially the poor. The scheme to "forgive" all student loan debts will also exacerbate inflation. Both wages and social security benefits are negative when adjusted...
