Passero stands ready to lead New London

Balancing the budget on a yearly basis is a given for those elected to office and is not an above and beyond accomplishment. As per the budding magnet school district in New London, we can thank former state Sen. Andrea Stillman, the state Department of Education and former superintendents Christopher Clouet and Nicholas Fischer for their efforts.

On Sept. 16, Democrats have the one remaining opportunity to help fix New London government and end what many have called a circus.

Michael Passero has served on the council three terms and has spent one year as council president. He has given countless hours working towards a community center, drainage as well as other infrastructure improvements and a rechanneling of development efforts at Fort Trumbull.

His appointments will go to those qualified and capable of restoring confidence and trust within the police and public works departments. Michael listens before he speaks. He realizes that the much needed private investment that grows the grand list will only occur under stable, predictable management. And he also knows that businesses have other location choices beyond our six square miles.

Michael Passero may have his quirks, but he remains the clear choice for New London.
