Only use photos of proper distancing

I fail to grasp why The Day would put photos of people not properly socially distancing in the paper. There was recently a photo of three young women at a picnic table less than six feet apart sharing a bottle of wine at Jonathan Edwards Vineyard in North Stonington. Later on there was also a picture of a New London teacher receiving flowers from another person who has a mask on her neck and is standing much closer than six feet to hand her the flowers.

Why are you showing examples of improper distancing? How does this encourage people to follow the rules? If you cannot stay six feet apart from a person, you are supposed to be wearing a mask — is that not correct? It is very disconcerting to see my local newspaper flagrantly disregarding the rules by publishing these photos.

    I expect more from you.
