‘Trump’s disregard for justice’

I watched, with concern, the Town Hall meeting with Donald Trump on CNN. Apart from his many lies and misstatements, I was struck by Trump’s disregard for our justice system and fundamental concepts of legal procedures. In particular, Trump wants to pardon most of the people who were prosecuted and convicted for their actions in the Jan. 6 insurrection. I cannot understand how many of the participants in that Town Meeting seemed to support that viewpoint. What happened to the Republican platform of law and order?
