Missing Hall of Fame jersey on NLHS gym wall

As I admired the various jerseys on the New London High School gym wall, I became curious about the protocol for hanging one’s jersey. Many names come to mind, but being an avid NLHS wrestling fan, the one name that is predominant in my mind is Alejandro Paulino. In my opinion, he certainly qualifies.

As coach Gorton and Mike DiMauro can attest to, not only was he 126-pound state wrestling champion for NLHS, as well as a former New England Golden Gloves Champion and National Golden Gloves finalist, he is also an undefeated super featherweight professional boxer with a perfect 15-0 with 13 knockouts. Alejandro was recently voted Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame Pro Boxer of the Year. So my question to whoever makes those decisions for New London High School is, why isn’t this man’s jersey hanging on the gym wall?
