    VRHS Musicians Reach High Notes

    Many students in Valley Regional High School's music program have been selected to perform in music festivals in both Connecticut and New England.

    Fifteen students were selected for the Southern Region Music Festival. These students performed in the Southern Region Concert Festival at Maloney High School in Meriden in January and auditioned for the Connecticut All-State Music Festival. They were Indigo Carlson, Grace Carver, Alyssa Cornwall, Hannah Partyka, Elizabeth Proteau, Kevin Alvord, Christopher Carney, Andrew Goerhing, Samuel Krempel, Martin Lucero, Casey McKeon, Paul Myers, Gustavo Dam, Daniel Leffingwell, and Donnie Dione.

    Eighteen vocalists were selected for the 85th New England Music Festival. These students were selected from more than 1,500 students who auditioned all over New England in early December. They will be performing at Killingly High School March 15 to 17. They are Kevin Alvord, Martin Lucero, Marina Capezzone, Marion Martin, Indigo Carlson, Casey McKeon, Christopher Carney, Paul Myers, Allyson Clark, Jenna Paternostro, Alyssa Cornwall, Elizabeth Proteau, Gustavo Dam, Bryanna Tobin, Andrew Goehring, Charlotte Vigue, Daniel Leffingwell, and Parker Wallace.
