Survey looking for opinions on community center idea

The Community Center Collaborative, the group working on a vision for a center in New London, is looking for opinions in a survey in English and Spanish on line and on paper.

The aim is to create a modern, multi-purpose, accessible and sustainable facility open year-round from early morning into the night. Its purpose would be to promote positive health and wellness, cultural enrichment and active living for New London residents from preschoolers to senior citizens, including underserved groups, and it would also be open to people from neighboring towns.

The consulting firm Ballard King has developed the survey and will compile the results. The collaborative has also held community meetings to get opinions.

Hard copies of the survey will be available beginning next week at the New London Public Library and the City Clerk’s office at City Hall.
