Mystic - A marriage proposal Saturday inspired the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce to add a new category, Most Romantic Mariner, to its prize list for the 10th annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade.

The prize went to Kenny Paul, who proposed to Samantha Norris by turning on lights that read “Marry Me Sam.”

Other prize winners were: Most Charismatic Crew, Pop Edgar; Most Innovative, Fish n’ Chicks and its Solo Cup theme; Small Boat, Hunky Dory kayak team; Miss Mystic Vessel of Grandeur, Cheryl Ann.

Judges were Heather Picazzio of Mystic Monkey; Vicky Preston-Liu of JPMorgan Chase and Tracey Diacetis of Noank Shipyard.
