Press Release: The Guilford Energy Task force has worked to set up a partnership between the Town of Guilford,  Energize CT, and Connecticut Light & Power authorized energy specialists, Energy Resource Group and New England Conservation Services to offer residents the Home Energy Solutions (HES) program.  The program, running May 9-December 31 2013, offers customers an average value of $1,000, with only a subsidized co-pay of $75 for homes heated by electricity or natural gas and $99 for homes heated with oil or propane.  The service remains free for those that meet the income eligibility guidelines.

Energy Resources and New England Conservation Services is donating a portion of their proceeds to Guilford Social Services fuel fund for needy residents.  

Customers completing HES services within the first 60 days of signup will have $75 donated to the fuel fund and $50-$25will be donated after 120 and 180 days respectively.  Through June 1st the Town of Guilford has: 85 residents signed up for HES, 25 have completed services  and seven customers have received additional measures including insulation, windows, HVAC services or Energy Star appliance rebates.
