Backus to hold cancer survivor educational dinner meeting July 17

Norwich - The William W. Backus Hospital Center for Cancer Survivorship will host an educational dinner meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. July 17 at the Backus Business and Technology Center at 11 Stott Ave.

Cancer survivors are encouraged to attend this free meeting to learn more about the center, which was created to cater to the needs of cancer survivors after treatment. Survivors are welcome to bring a guest. To register, call (860) 889-8331, ext. 6317.

The center offers a multi-disciplinary approach to coordinating care and information on nutrition, rehabilitation, coping strategies, dealing with anxiety and depression, and relaxation techniques.
