New London – Police say an 28-year-old man suffered several non-life threatening knife wounds Saturday during an afternoon assault in the area of 127 Ocean Ave.

The man reported to police that he was assaulted at 3:08 p.m. by two light-skinned black males both in their 20s or early 30s. The victim was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries from an edged weapon that included a minor stab wound to leg and laceration to his face, police said.
