    My Pet Pal: Dash

This is Dash, aka Kitty Boy. His parents were feral kitties in the yard that wouldn’t let you near them. The next thing we knew there were 3 little fur balls running around the yard. Like their parents, they kept their distance. After luring the little ones with food we were able to catch them. My daughter took one, we found a home for one and after a week of having this little boy in our home HE decided HE liked it and stayed. We tried to catch the parents to have them fixed. We caught the neighbor’s cat, a squirrel and a SKUNK! Sadly a fisher cat got them before we did. It’s been 11 years since Kitty moved in (2004). He’s strictly an indoor cat. He recently had surgery to remove a kidney that was as big as my fist! It was an expensive procedure but we’re so glad we had it done. They say 11 isn’t old for a kitty so we’re hoping to have many furry years with our little guy. We never thought we were “cat” people but he changed our mind. Couldn’t imagine life without him greeting us at the door at the end of a day.
