Urban participates in art program through LEARN at Lyman Allyn
State Rep. Diana Urban, D-North Stonington, joined the staff of the Lyman Allyn Art Museum on March 2 to work with students in the museum art studio. As chair of the Committee on Children, she worked with educator Caitlin Healy and students from Groton and Norwich participating in an art program through LEARN.
LEARN partners students from an urban school with students from a suburban school to bring together children from different backgrounds in the same educational environment.
“I loved the opportunity to work with the kids during the gallery tours and the hands-on art projects,” Urban said in a press release. “The Lyman Allyn has such a great education program, and their work with LEARN helps to give our state’s children exposure to the arts while meeting kids from other parts of the state.”
