The Niantic Rotary Club continued its annual commitment to local organizations with a $15,000 donation to the Miracle League of Southeastern Connecticut at its Sept. 26 meeting.

Rotarian Dave Putnam, Miracle League board President Michael Susi and Miracle League board member John Carlin were at the meeting to receive the donation, which puts the Miracle League’s fundraising efforts this year at $200,000. The Miracle League is currently raising money to build an accessible recreational field so wheelchair-bound children can play a variety of sports. The field will be the third of its kind in the state.
