    Carney endorsed by CBIA

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association recently announced that it has endorsed State Rep. Devin Carney, R-Old Lyme, who is running for his third term to represent the 23rd House District towns of Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook.

“The legislature needs to focus on improving business growth, stabilizing our finances, and creating new opportunities,” Carney said in a statement. “Connecticut is not the most business-friendly state and we must focus on producing an economic environment that will attract investment and job growth.”

Joseph F. Brennan, President and CEO of CBIA, said in a statement of Carney: “In your time in the legislature, you have shown a strong commitment to promoting an environment where companies can compete, attract much-needed investment to our state, and drive economic growth and job creation.”

"CBIA is the largest, most representative business organization in the state," the news release states. "Its members include businesses both small and large from just about every industry."
