Groton — The Groton Animal Foundation will has announced a Tellabration, or storytelling event, for families on Saturday to benefit the animals at the Groton Animal Control.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the show that will take place at 7 p.m. in the large Council Chambers at the Groton City Municipal Building, according to a news release announcing the event.

Tickets, which may be purchased at the door, are $10 for adults and $5 for youths aged 8 to 18.

Teresa Whitaker and Frank Schwartz will perform and include animal folk tales in the program. The Mystic Paper Beasts, a masked theater group, will greet attendees outside before the show and lead the way to the show.
