WHO: David, a 29-year-old unemployed man with mental health issues

HIS SITUATION: David is trying very hard to break a long generational cycle of poverty in his family. Currently, he is unable to work due to mental health issues, which include trauma, neglect as a child, substance abuse of his parents, and he needs therapy. He was screened for therapy but cannot be seen until after the new year due to a backlog. David has no income and is not eligible for assistance. He has spent time in jail and is afraid of re-offending as he feels hopeless and has no direction. He is living from friend to friend and has no stable home.
WHAT TO GIVE: David is in need of clothing (size 32 pants, men’s medium shirt), a winter coat (men’s large) and gift cards for personal hygiene items. He also needs productive daytime activities.
