New London — Holiday travelers exit a Northeast Regional Amtrak train bound for Boston South Station on Wednesday at Union Station.
According to AAA, more than 55 million people are expected to travel 50 miles or more for the holiday this week. Amtrak is expecting a volume this week similar to last year's record of more than 846,000 passengers.
