Weather for the birds in East Lyme

East Lyme — Linda Olsen of Waterford was feeding gulls from a bag of stale cookies before taking a walk Thursday at McCook Point Beach in Niantic.

"It feels a little chillier than what the temperature reads but it's still a great day to spend at the beach," she said of the weather.

Highs are forecast to be in the mid- to high 30s for the next few days before soaring into the high 40s, and maybe even into the low 50s, Monday and Tuesday.
