    Navy base somberly marks anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks

    Groton — The Navy community here marked the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a ceremony Friday at the Historic Ship Nautilus in Groton.

    The ceremony was streamed on the internet because it was closed to the public. It included a tolling of the bells, playing of taps and a flag retirement ceremony.
