Closing out the Leffingwell season in style
The Scarecrows and Cocoa event Oct. 17 at the Leffingwell House Museum in Norwich scared up some lovely weather as 105 visitors enjoyed tasting four delicious hot chocolate recipes; Mexican Chocolate was the winner for 2020.
There were many interactions with living history presenters demonstrating spinning, pottery making, metalwork or corn husk doll making. Families enjoyed using the clues in the scarecrow scavenger hunt to find businesses in the 1700 garden.
Everyone reportedly was safe and socially distanced and wore their masks. It was a great end to the COVID-19 season as “Leffingwell took History Outdoors,” said photographer Cam Farwell.
