    Ledge Light Health District offering free flu shots at upcoming clinics

    New London — Ledge Light Health District has scheduled a series of free flu clinics for residents 19 and older.

    All participants must arrive at the clinics wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. FluMist, a nasal spray version of the flu vaccine, will be available for those who are healthy and not pregnant. Masks may be removed to receive the spray vaccine. Those electing to receive a flu shot should wear a short-sleeve shirt or loose-fitting clothes to provide easy access to the upper arm.

    Signed consent forms, which can be downloaded at www.llhd.org or obtained at the clinics, are required.

    The clinics are from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Drive Thru to Beat the Flu Clinic at Lyme-Old Lyme High School, 53 Lyme Road, Old Lyme; from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, in the parking lot of the Thames Club, 290 State St., New London (turn right from 290 State St. onto Washington Street); and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 5, at St. Vincent de Paul Place, 120 Cliff St., Norwich.
