Day staff dedicates this week's Storyline podcast to those we lost to COVID-19

In this week's edition of "The Storyline" podcast, you'll hear the voices of Day staff members reading one-sentence obituaries they wrote about some of the people from our region who died from complications of COVID-19.

The names were published in The Day and theday.com on Sunday, as we kicked off a series of stories looking back at "The Lost Year" due to the coronavirus pandemic.

We filled the entire front page and an inside page of our print edition with the names of the 397 people that were provided by the state in response to a Freedom of Information request.

Listen to the podcast to hear us reading the names and what made each of those people special, and to an interview of reporter Julia Bergman about her stories examining the lives of those we've lost to the pandemic.

The podcast is available at bit.ly/covidobituaries.
