History talk Saturday in Norwich

Norwich — The 120th meeting of the Society of the Founders of Norwich will be held outside on Leffingwell House Museum grounds at noon Saturday.
Museum President Dayne Rugh will give opening remarks, followed by a presentation by Gary Bliss, a Washington scholar and defense economist. He will speak on Gen. George Washington's relationship with Norwich during the Revolution.
The event is free, and the public is invited to bring a lawn chair. Museum tours starting at 11 a.m. will be available for $8 a person, and will last till 3 p.m.
The Society of the Founders has preserved and shared Norwich history since 1901.
