City of Groton to hold Black History Month flag-raising event

Groton — The City of Groton announced it will celebrate Black History Month at a flag-raising event.

The event will be held at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at the city Municipal Building, 295 Meridian St., according to an event notice.

The town also will hold a Black History Month flag-raising celebration on the same day, taking place from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. at Town Hall, 45 Fort Hill Road, according to an event notice.
