New London — Members of the Mitchell College baseball team were working through drills Tuesday in the parking lot of Ocean Beach Park.

Head coach Travis Beausoleil said the team started practicing in late January, with a few indoor and outdoor practices a week. When the fields are covered in snow, the team frequently comes to the beach's parking lot for practice. 

"It's plowed, it's empty, it's perfect," Beausoleil said.
