Earth Day cleanup scheduled for Saturday at Bluff Point

Groton — State Sen. Heather Somers, R-Groton, and Beer’d Brewing Co. of Stonington will host an "Earth Day Cleanup" Saturday at Bluff Point State Park, and the public is invited to participate.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the park at 55 Depot Road, Groton. Trash bags will be supplied to volunteers.

“Spring is here, and it’s a great time to get together to help beautify a wonderful resource like Bluff Point State Park,” Somers said in a statement about the event. “I look forward to seeing folks on Saturday morning.”
