Community Health Center Inc. is now offering COVID-19 vaccines by appointment for children 6 months and older at its facilities throughout Connecticut.

The vaccines are offered to CHC patients as well as members of the public. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling (860) 347-6971. There are Community Health Center locations in New London at 1 Shaws Cove and Groton at 481 Gold Star Highway.

“On June 18, 2022, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approved COVID-19 vaccinations for young children who are at least 6 months old,” CHC wrote in a news release on Wednesday. “Community Health Center, Inc. has been a leading COVID-19 vaccinator in Connecticut, operating the state’s largest (drive-thru) clinics at the height of the pandemic, and to date has administered more than 600,000 vaccinations statewide.”
