State to offer criminal justice summer camp

Rocky Hill ― The state’s Division of Criminal Justice is accepting summer camp applications from students interested in a career in the criminal justice system.

Students at DCJ Camp Justice will be introduced to the criminal justice system through various presentations from guest speakers and career panels and have interactive opportunities with courthouse visits, mock trial preparation and presentation and a closing ceremony.

The program is open to eighth-grade students entering the ninth grade in the fall and will be held at the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney in Rocky Hill from July 24 through July 28.

The camp is free of charge. Lunch and transportation, if needed, will be provided.
