    Three classes graduate from Naval Submarine School

    Groton — Three classes graduated from the Naval Submarine School Nov. 30.

    Ten sailors of “Class 12120” graduated from Machinist Mate (Weapons) ‘A’ School. Fireman Apprentice Tyler Bagnell, the class honorman, received the Torpedoman Plaque.

    Eighty-five sailors of “Class 13020,” USS Toledo (SSN-769), and 25 from Turtle, “Class 13030,” graduated in joint ceremonies from the Basic Enlisted Submarine School.

    Culinary Specialist Third Class Michael Marinelli, the class honorman for Class 13020, received the Navy Core Values Award. Seaman Apprentice Michael Avila, the class leader, received the Heritage Award and Seaman Recruit Caleb Edwards was meritoriously advanced.

    Seaman Lucas Beattie was the class honorman for Class 13030. Seaman Christopher Grommes received the Navy Core Values Award and Yeoman Third Class Johnathan Citizen, the class leader, received the Heritage Award. Seaman Recruit Evan Earnest was meritoriously advanced.

    Seaman Apprentice Anthony Paris, Seaman Apprentice Erick Sewell, Seaman Recruit Jacob Vanarsdall, Electronics Technician First Class Jordan Barrett and Seaman Apprentice Morgan Binkley, of Class 13020, and Seaman Christopher Gromme and Electrician’s Mate Third Class Warren Saunders, of Class 13030, were selected as graduates with distinction.
