    Streaming of "They Ain't Ready for Me" continues Jewish film fest

    The 21st Annual Jewish FilmFest of Eastern CT continues its series with free and virtual viewings, tonight through Sunday, of "They Ain't Ready for Me."s

    The documentary captures the activism of Tamar Manasseh, a Black rabbinical student defiantly battling against senseless killings on the south side of Chicago. A mother of two, Manasseh grew frustrated by political inactivity after a young mother was shot and killed in 2015 trying to break up a fight. Setting up headquarters on a street corner in the heart of a ghetto where poverty, unemployment, addiction, and violence are rampant. Simply expressed, she sat down and hasn't left — and orchestrates and inspiring and charismatic movement.

    Film director Brad Rothschild and Manasseh will virtually discuss the documentary at 6 p.m. Sunday.
