Texas Tenors sing at Foxwoods
The number of tenor groups continues to multiply!
Which brings is to the trio of male singers known as The Texas Tenors. Yes, they are a classical crossover group, as many of the tenor ensembles are. They made their biggest splash by competing on "America's Got Talent" in 2009. They finished in the top four, which was the best any vocal group has done on the NBC variety show.
The tenors - who are JC Fisher, Marcus Collins and John Hagen - are performing today at Foxwoods' Fox Theater. Their concerts bring together elements of opera, pop and country. Meaning? Maybe you'll hear a little Alabama. Or maybe you'll hear a little Puccini.
Later this year, The Texas Tenors will release their second CD, "You Should Dream," which boasts original songs and is a follow-up to their debut, "Country Roots - Classical Sound." And, in August, they will tour China, adding to their world-wide run of more than 450 concets over the past three years.
