Hygienic Art Park hosts Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds
It's hard to argue with the Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds' recipe: take the choicest bits of classic soul, add shredding musicianship and raise-the-tent gospel energy, then put Arleigh Kincheloe out front to seduce with her magical voice and lightning bolt stage presence.
Since 2011, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds have toured relentlessly - 150 shows a year - and have carved with surgical skill a tremendous reputation on the festival circuit. In 2013, they released their debut EP, "Fight," empathetically produced by Grammy winner Randy Jackson.
The band hits New London Saturday for a show in the Hygienic Art Park. It's a visual and sonic feast, and be forewarned: your eyes and ears will be thusly rocked.
West End Blend opens the show.
