    Rosie Flores plays the Knick

If it's Tuesday night in iconic Austin, Texas, iconic singer/guitarist Rosie Flores holds down a residency in the town's iconic Continental Club. (You probably figured, correctly, that the three-pack of "iconic" is meant to convey how cool it all is.) Flores, whose tunes and sound are fleshed out from DNA strands of rockabilly, country and surf music, is a giant in that most musical of environments, so it's a treat when she hits the road and comes to our part of the world.

On Wednesday, Flores performs in Westerly at the Knickerbocker Cafe. Expect tunes from her most recent album, "Girl of the Century," and possibly new songs from a work-in-progress called "Working Girl's Guitar." It's a guaranteed great time and the bar might be raised because it'll be Rosie's birthday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $10. The Knick is at 35 Railroad Ave., Westerly; (401) 315-5070, theknickerbockercafe.com.
