Now, this is quite an embarrassment of late-1980s/early-1990s musical riches.

The New Kids on the Block are returning to Mohegan Sun Arena for a concert on July 3 (a great pre-holiday night, right?).

And that alone would be enough, because they are pretty great in concert.

But NKOTB, in fact, are just the main headliners. This show has what sports people call a deep bench.

Tiffany.

Debbie Gibson.

Naughty by Nature.

So it’s a night that will hit all of these tunes: “Hangin’ Tough,” “Shoop,” “I Think We’re Alone Now,” “Only in My Dreams” and “O.P.P.” The only real question is which number you’ll be singing as you leave the arena.
