Sound the bells: Shoreline Ringers in concert in Old Saybrook
Wait! The holidays aren’t over yet!
You can still hear Shoreline Ringers, that fabulous community handbell choir based in Uncasville, in a holiday concert Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Old Saybrook.
The program will feature popular tunes, original handbell compositions and classical transcriptions.
Shoreline Ringers have performed all over since forming in 2006, including at Carnegie Hall for the “Christmas Time in the City” concert and with Scott Haney and the WFSB’s “Joy for the Kids Concert” in Hartford.
The ringers, directed by Jane Nolan, ring on five and a half octaves of Malmark handbells and seven octaves of Malmark handchimes.
