Connecticut Storytelling Center and Ubuntu Storytellers offer 'Stories Build Bridges'
The Connecticut Storytelling Center, in residence at Connecticut College in New London, is presenting a virtual event, "Stories Build Bridges," at 8 p.m. Friday.
A collaboration with the Ubuntu Storytellers and underwritten by Connecticut Humanities, this program is being offered to the public "in an effort to bring people together in an environment of co-respectful telling and listening."
This concert for adults will feature personal stories that reflect joys, triumphs and disappointments, as well as stories about encounters with racism, prejudice, and micro aggression.
Two workshops are being offered to follow up on this performance, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 5 and 12. The workshops are limited to the first 25 people who sign up, and attendees must commit to the concert and both workshops.
This program is free. Visit www.connstorycenter.org for more information.
