    O'Neill Center announces National Playwrights Conference works

    After two years without public staged readings due to the pandemic, the National Playwrights Conference will be back in full force this summer at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford.

    The O'Neill has announced the plays that will undergo the center's signature development process and will be presented in those staged readings featuring award-winning casts and creative teams.

    They are:

    "The Apiary" by Kate Douglas, with readings 8 p.m. June 22 and 23

    "Your Regularly Scheduled Programming" by Brittany Fisher, 7 p.m. June 24 and 25

    "Kate Suspended" by Neena Beber, 8 p.m. Junen 29 and 30

    "Big Black Sunhats" by Mallory Jane Weiss, 7 p.m. July 1 and 2

    "House of India" by Deepak Kumar, 7 p.m. July 8 and 9

    "Nightwatch" by Max Yu, 8 p.m. July 13 and 14

    Details on how to buy tickets will be available at a later date. Members get early access, and the public on-sale date is scheduled for June 1.
