If you haven’t seen Mandy Patinkin live before, do yourself a favor: buy yourself a ticket to his Saturday show at the Garde Arts Center.

Patinkin is a phenomenal singer and performer. As The New Yorker memorably phrased it, “Mandy Patinkin is in the business of showstopping.”

The show is titled “Mandy Patinkin in Concert: BEING ALIVE,” and it promises classic Broadway and American songs, along with cuts from Patinkin’s Nonesuch Records releases.

Patinkin has done it all in showbiz, from Broadway (“Evita”) to TV (“Homeland”) and movies (“The Princess Pride”).

And there is more TV in his future: Showtime has just given a series order to Patinkin’s family comedy “Seasoned.” So see him now, before his schedule is jammed up with TV work.
