Teen shooting victim dies, becomes Hartford's 28th homicide

Hartford (AP) — Officials say a 19-year-old Hartford man has died from injuries suffered in a shooting.
Police say Ricardo Rivera died Friday at St. Francis Hospital, making him the 28th homicide victim so far this year in Connecticut's capital city.
Police say Rivera was found unresponsive by officers around 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 21 after he was shot in the head on Cherry Street. Another man at the scene had been shot in the torso.
There were a total of 19 homicides in Hartford in 2014.
