Dorothy Goehler Rothman, of Clinton, wife of the late Herman Rothman, died on April 20. She was born in West Haven in 1926, the daughter of the late Valentine and Alpha Watkins Goehler of Orange.

Mrs. Rothman enjoyed volunteer work, including the New Haven Public Schools, the Connecticut Association of the Deaf, and the New Haven Democratic Town Committee. She was a member of the Senior Coalition in Washington, DC, and the Wolf Educational Center of Idaho, Sawtooth Pack. She was an avid gardener until the early 80s.

She was the mother of Alpha DaCosta (Antonio DaCosta, retired NHPD) of New Haven.www.GuilfordFuneralHome.com.

A private graveside service will be held in Alder Brook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Rothman’s name may be made to the Wolf Education & Research Center, P.O.
