    Colonel Classic 5K Road Race — Saturday, March 28, 9:30 a.m. (check-in begins at 7:45 a.m.), Ledyard High School, walkers are welcome. Fee: $25 before March 20 (also the deadline for long-sleeve race T-shirts), $30 after March 20. Race course described as challenging and hilly. Awards in 14 age groups.     Stonington Adult Sports Leagues — The Human Services Department for the Town of Stonington is offering the following Adult Sports Leagues. Men’s Golf League: Matches are played Thursday evening at Elm Ridge Golf Course starting in May. First game is scheduled for April 12. Captains are meeting Wednesday, April 1 at 7 p.m. Men’s Softball League: Held at Spellman Recreational Complex, behind Stonington High School. Games could be played Monday-Thursday starting early May. An organizational and captains’ meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 13 at 7 p.m. Co-ed Softball League: Also held at Spellman Recreational Complex. Games will be scheduled on Mondays starting in June. Captains meet on Monday, June 1 at 7 p.m. Tennis, Co-ed League: Matches are played on the courts in Spellman Recreational Complex on Monday and Wednesday evenings starting in June. Captains’ meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 18 at 7 p.m.
