Norwich man arrested on charges he was in possession of child pornography

Montville - A Norwich man was arrested Thursday on a warrant that alleges he was in possession of child pornography.

James Palinkas, 23, of 100 McKinley Ave. was charged with second-degree possession of child pornography and importation of child pornography.

Police said that the state Computer Crimes Unit began its investigation between the months of March 2013 through July 2013. During its investigation, police developed Palinkas as a suspect.

He was being held on a $100,000 bond, pending his arraignment Friday in New London Superior Court.
