Fight at New London house ends with five arrests
New London — Alleged participants in a fight, during which a gun was fired, were later arrested by police when their SUV was stopped.
Police were called to Amity Street about 5:53 p.m. Monday and were told a fight involving several people had occurred at 22 Amity St. earlier that evening. Participants had fled on foot and in a dark-colored SUV.
Police secured the scene and located a spent shell casing and gave other area departments a description of the vehicle. The Connecticut State Police later located the vehicle in Waterford.
Fredrick Wardwell, 22, of 145 Kitemaug Road, Uncasville; Joseph Sullivan, 28, of no certain address; Jordan Davis, 20, of 254 Old Colchester Road, Quaker Hill; Gene Wade, 22, of 13 Lang St., Bozrah, and one juvenile were charged with breach of peace.
No firearm was located. New London police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to call the department's Detective Division at (860) 447-1481.
