Uncasville man charged with sexual assault

Montville — An Uncasville man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a reported sexual assault in Montville in 2016.

Rafael Lespier, 63, of 121 Fort Shantok Road was charged with risk of injury to a minor and first-degree sexual assault, according to a criminal information summary by state police.

The Montville Police Department began the investigation of the reported assault, then developed a suspect and obtained a warrant from New London Superior Court, the summary said.

No further information was immediately available.
