Oakdale man charged with DUI after hitting school bus in Norwich
Norwich — A 40-year-old Oakdale man was charged Thursday with driving under the influence after hitting a First Student Bus, which was occupied by students, the Norwich Police Department said in a Facebook post. No students were injured.
Mark Ingves of 115 Massachusetts Road also was charged with failure to drive right and driving with a suspended license, police said. He was held on a $15,000 surety bond.
Police said officers responded to the area of North Main Street and Burnham Square for a report of an accident. Officers suspected Ingves was driving under the influence of drugs, and a drug recognition expert was contacted.
No other information was immediately available.
